Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways!

I am a video game junkie - and I have no problem admitting to it. I do not need need help to quit, I fully embrace this about myself. On another level of my addiction is a little game called MarioKart. This game is so wonderful and brings me so much happiness that I am very sad for you if you have never played. Go our right now and buy a Wii and this game if this is the case. No wait, buy a Super Nintendo (www.ebay.com) buy the original MarioKart and expierence the beginning!! Anyway, the newest version came out today and I Love it ---- no wait, LOVE IT!!! You might think this is only because of my earlier talked about obsession - um, no. This game is great for many reasons but can I just say . . . . . Baby Peach? Baby Peach is now a racing character and I seriously started scremaing when I started my new game. Do you understand how great this is? This is monumental and I just thought you needed to know.

Also upcomming and very exciting - Wii Fit -- May 21st. Go pre-order yours today. As you may have guessed I already have :)

Did that really just happen?

Here it is everyone ---- my first blog post WITHOUT ANY PICTURES!! Can you believe it? not me, here goes.

I am driving to work yesterday listening to X96 morning show, drinking my coffee, stuck behind a truck driving way under the speed limit. The car in the other lane is driving way too slow also, and those of us stuck seemed to be stacking up. I suddenly see a spark in the road (weird, I think, was that a cigarette?) The next spark is much bigger and I quickly realize that the trailer from the truck in front of me is no longer attached, and dragging in the road. UH WHAT??????

I am not kidding when I tell you that I had a moment of feeling like I was in a video game. Slow Down? Speed Up? Change Lanes (even though I can't??) The trailer started to veer off to the right (into the dirt) and I thought that would be it . . . . .not quite. Because the speed limit is 75 mph the trailer was kicking up some big rocks and debris heading in all directions. I found a hole and changed lanes right away. Whew!

Before I knew it, the trailer was heading my way again! I don't know how it happened, but the trailer was back in the road and matching my speed. I had to slam on my brakes while the trailer passed right in front of my car and finally stopped in the median. After I stopped shaking I thought to myself --- did that really just happen?

Finally!!

OK, I know I haven't posted for a while . . . . . well actually, almost a month! I kinda feel like one of those people who made a resolution to write in a journal. Dear Diary - hi! long time, no write . . . . (flash back anyone?) enough rambling ----- let me get you caught up!

Mike just got back from a fishing tournament at Clear Lake in California. He was gone for 8 days, but really he would tell you the hardest part was the 12 hour drive to get there. Remi and I bonded while he was gone, sort of . . .I actually think he just liked the extra room in the bed and I tend to spoil him. Mike did like the tournament though (don't let him tell you different!!) the fishing was hard, but I am glad he did it. How many of us spend that kind of time and energy on something we love and are trying to improve on? Well . . . . I gues I do on the Wii, but does that count?
Here is another picture of our boy because really . . . . can you come to our blog without wanting to see one? Here he is on our bed, snuggling up under a blanket that he has decided belongs only to him. My favorite part of this picture is that with him all covered up, doesn't he look smaller? Like a little puppy? so cute! I have also decided that April and Ella were dead on in their description of his eye --- it does look like he is winking!!

Healing Eye

Remi Eye Update:

His eye is healing nicely, just a few pictures of the hair growing back... and his giant face, as usual, he thought the camera was food, even with a bone in his mouth.

Hey Look! Pictures without Remington!

Yeah for Disneyland and a big THANK YOU to Keith and Allison for inviting me to join their family vacation!! I haven't been for a long time and it was SO MUCH fun! I very much recommend going with small children because it completely makes time very enjoyable. Some of my favorite moments from the trip were provided by Hannah and Nicholas!
Yeah for the Disney Princesses!! Mike burst out laughing when he saw this picture and said "aren't you too old for that?" but I didn't care. Belle is my favorite princess and I wanted a picture with her!!
Me and Nicholas on a surprising and fun ride. Much more then I expected and a blast!! Mike thinks thats a good looking fishing hat.
This is a ride inside the "Bugs Life" area - it turned out to be a favorite area for everyone. Super cute, short lines, lots of fun . . . . . .what more could you want?
Meeting Dopey!!! How great was this? BTW in case any of you were wondering - we are boycotting Chip and Dale - they wouldn't sign Hannah's autograph book or take a picture with her and she said "what mean chipmunks!" I Agree.
Waiting for the "Fantasmic" show to start - This show was Amazing and I loved it! I was a little sad to not see the Main Street Electrical Parade, but this made up for it!!

Favorites: INDIANA JONES (never been on it - how cool is this ride???), Hannah saying Splash Mountain is her favorite ride, Nicholas falling in love with Cinderella, and much more! Awesome Fantastic Wonderful Vacation!!

Worst Parts: Chip and Dale (see above) and a stranger at Keith and Allisons ward seeing my sunburn and saying "I am sorry, are you OK?" (uh what? who are you? I am fine)

I had lots of fun and feel free to use Keith and Allisons link to see more great pictures from this super fun trip!!!

Remi's Triumphant Return

Remi got to spend the day with Grandma Hendrickson, who accompanied us to the Vet today. The doctor said his sutures were ready to come out and Remi sat completely still while Dr Cox cut out the stitches. Remi is loving the freedom from his cone collar and is downing a rawhide bone (which he couldn't have with the collar on) while I post this. His hair is slowly growing back and Dr Cox said when in 4 more weeks he will have his eyebrow back and will look more like his handsome self. I'm relieved that we're done with the awkward collar and can hopefully get a good nights sleep. Keri is in California so this will be her first look at her new Puppy sans collar.
