So Long, Farewell

I am typing this before I go to bed on the eve of my Ragnar departure.

It is still so unreal to me that the race is finally here - wasn't it a million years ago that Kate told me about it? I am more nervous then I have admitted to anyone, including myself! I really want to do well and prove to myself that I am stronger then I think. Isn't that kinda the point of running? If not, then I still don't get it. The past few months of training have taught me a lot about myself, my abilities, and definitely my weaknesses. I haven't even done the race yet, and I am happy to have been a part of it. Thank you to Kate for getting me involved, thank you to Keith for joining the team, and thank you to everyone in my van for the adventure we are about to have!

Stay tuned for a post about my love or hate of this event - I don't know what to expect!

Not Much to Report

I would love to be one of those people that says things like "I've been to busy to blog" or "We've just had so much going on!" but no. Not much to report from the Hendrickson house. Mostly, I am doing this post because someone left a stern comment!

I have been running like crazy trying to get ready for this insane race that is in 14 Days! Lincoln is getting beyond big and it feels wrong to even refer to him as a puppy.

The other day I got to spend some time with Neve and I just have to post this picture because we had a lot of fun playing with the Rummikub tiles!

Mike got older. I took him to a Jazz game for his Birthday. Thank you Dave for helping me choose between Cleveland and Phoenix. We ended up going to the Phoenix game, great game, great seats. Mike hates it when I ask strangers to take our picture, since it was his birthday I didn't argue with him and the pictures we ended up with (taking them ourselves which I normally HATE) turned out very memorable. Pick your favorite!

My other favorite part of the game was watching the people in front of us celebrate after every, yes EVERY basket made by the Jazz. I was ridiculously entertained by it. So entertained that I filmed it so you could all experience it too :) I was tempted to stick my hand out as it got closer to the end of the game, but didn't. Next time maybe?

I will be better about my blogging. At least I have this crazy race coming up so I will have a topic!
